Things to Do When You’re Bored and 14 Years Old

A 14 year old should do whatever they want when bored. There is no set answer, as each person is different. Some ideas include reading, writing, playing sports, listening to music, or spending time with friends and family. It really depends on the individual and what interests them. Ultimately, the best thing to do when bored is something that will occupy the time and provide some enjoyment.

Make a bucket list. Our oldest did this with her BFF and you don’t wanna know what’s on it!

When you’re 14, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget about what you really want to do with your life. That’s why it’s important to make a bucket list: a list of all the things you want to do before you “kick the bucket.”

Sure, some items on your list might seem impossible now, but that’s half the fun! Dream big and think outside the box. And don’t worry if your list changes over time – as you grow and experience new things, your priorities will inevitably shift.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

1. Travel the world. There’s so much to see and explore out there! Visit different countries, experience different cultures, and check items off your travel bucket list as you go.

2. Learn a new skill or hobby. Whether it’s learning how to play an instrument or finally mastering that perfect cat eye, picking up a new skill can be incredibly rewarding. Who knows – you might even discover a hidden talent!

Play games or play cards. Especially our youngest loves to play games

Regarding being bored, there are a lot of things that a 14 year old can do in order to pass the time. One option is to play games, either alone or with friends. There are endless possibilities when it comes to choosing a game, so there’s sure to be something that everyone will enjoy. Another option is to play cards. This is another activity that can be done alone or with others, and it’s a great way to while away the hours. There are many different card games out there, so again, there’s bound to be one that everyone will like. Whichever route you decide to go down, playing games or playing cards is sure to help beat the boredom blues!

Bake cookies or a cake

Baking is a great way to spend some time when you’re bored. Not only will you end up with a delicious treat, but the process of baking can be therapeutic and relaxing. Cookies and cakes are always good options, but feel free to get creative and try something new. If you need some inspiration, there are plenty of recipes online or in cookbooks. Just make sure you have all the ingredients on hand before you start baking.

Doing a puzzle

Most people believe that puzzles are only for kids, but that’s not true! There are many puzzles out there that are perfect for adults and even teens. If you’re looking for something to do when you’re bored, why not try working on a puzzle?

Puzzles can be a great way to kill time and they can also be quite challenging. There are many different types of puzzles available, so you should be able to find one that suits your interests. If you like solving problems, then you might want to try a crossword puzzle or a Sudoku puzzle. If you’re more into visual challenges, then an image search or jigsaw puzzle might be more up your alley.

No matter what type of puzzle you choose, working on one can help to pass the time and keep your mind active. So next time you’re feeling bored, why not give it a try?

Go on a teenage scavenger hunt

A teenage scavenger hunt can be a great way to cure boredom. It can be done alone or with friends, and it can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. The key is to set some guidelines and then let your imagination run wild.

To get started, you’ll need to create a list of items to find. This can be anything from common objects like a pencil or a penny, to more specific things like a photo of someone making a silly face, or a business card from a local restaurant. Once you have your list, set out into your neighborhood or town and see how many items you can find within an hour or two.

If you’re doing the scavenger hunt alone, keep track of all the items you find on your own personal list. But if you’re playing with friends, make things more interesting by dividing up into teams and seeing who can find the most items on their list in the allotted time period. Whoever has the most items at the end wins!

Scavenger hunts are great fun for teenagers because they encourage creativity, teamwork (if playing in groups), and exploration. So next time you’re feeling bored, grab some friends and see what treasures you can uncover in your very own neighborhood scavenger hunt!

Make Fall art

Fall is the perfect time to get creative and make some beautiful art. There are so many great things about fall that make it the perfect inspiration for art, such as the colors, the leaves, the pumpkins, and more. Here are some ideas for making fall art:

1. Use leaves as your medium. Collect leaves of different colors and sizes and use them to create a collage or painting. You can also use them to decorate picture frames or mirrors.

2. Get creative with pumpkins. You can carve them, paint them, or even turn them into lamps! There are so many ways to decorate a pumpkin and they make great fall decorations for your home.

3. Use fallen branches to create sculptures or centerpieces. Paint them or leave them natural for a rustic look. Arrange them in a vase or pot with some Fall foliage for a stunning display.

4. Collect acorns and pinecones on your nature walks and use them to decorate wreaths, garlands, or potpourri sachets. Add in some Fall-colored ribbon for extra flair!

5. Make homemade candles using Autumn-scented oils. Pour melted wax into molds in the shape of leaves, pumpkins, or acorns. These make great gifts or decorations for your own home.

Make bath bombs

Bath bombs are a fun and easy way to add some excitement to your bath time routine. They are also a great way to show your creativity and make unique gifts for friends and family. If you’re new to making bath bombs, don’t worry – it’s actually very simple! In this article, we’ll walk you through the basics of how to make your own bath bombs at home.

The first thing you’ll need is a mold for your bath bomb. You can use any type of mold that you like, but we recommend using a silicone mold as they are easy to release the finished product from. Next, gather your ingredients which include baking soda, citric acid, epsom salt, cornstarch, essential oils (optional), food coloring (optional), and witch hazel or vodka in a small spray bottle.

Now it’s time to start mixing! In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients – baking soda, citric acid, epsom salt and cornstarch. If you’re using essential oils or food coloring, add those in now and mix until everything is evenly distributed. Slowly start spraying in the witch hazel or vodka while stirring everything together; you want just enough liquid so that the mixture holds together when pressed but isn’t too wet or sloppy. Once everything is fully combined, spoon the mixture into your mold(s). Firmly press the mixture into each cavity until it’s packed in tight then set aside for 24 hours so that it can harden properly.

After 24 hours have passed, gently remove your bath bomb from the mold(s) and enjoy! When dropping them into the tub be sure not to hold them under running water as this will cause them to fizz away too quickly – just place them on top of

Read a book

It can be hard to find things to do when you’re bored, especially if you’re stuck at home with nothing to entertain you. If you’re looking for something to do that will pass the time and maybe even teach you something, why not try reading a book?

Reading is a great way to occupy your time and improve your brain power. It can be educational, entertaining, and even relaxing. Whether you choose a fiction or nonfiction book, make sure it’s one that interests you so that you’ll actually enjoy reading it. If possible, try to find a book that’s part of a series so that you have something else to read once you finish the first one.

If sitting down with an entire book feels like too much of a commitment, start by reading articles or stories online instead. There are tons of websites and apps that offer free content for readers of all ages. Once you find something interesting to read, set aside some time each day to work on it so that you make progress and don’t get too bored.

In addition to occupying your time, reading can also help reduce stress levels and improve your memory and concentration skills. So next time you’re feeling bored, pick up a book instead of reaching for your phone or TV remote control.
